We are honored and privileged to welcome Inelia Garcia to the Original Method Pilates Studio for 3 full days of workshops January.
Designated “teacher of teachers” by Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates’ long-time protege, Inelia Garcia instructs and inspires teachers and students around the world. With the blessing of Romana Kryzanowska she created the Pilates Studio Brasil. Her comprehensive teacher training program, turns out some of the greatest instructors in the world. Her tireless passion for sharing the work of Joseph Pilates, and her love for keeping the “original” Pilates method alive and growing are evident wherever and whenever Inelia teaches. She is a true inspiration to anyone who works with her.
Below, a detailed look at each workshop day.
Friday January 26 th , 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Dynamic Intermediate mat
- Pedological process of the matwork
- Matwork with magic circle
- Hand weights, the wall, Joe’s standing exercises, (Soltura),
- Finalization exercises with Magic Circle
Saturday January 27 th , 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Basic Reformer Work including spotting techniques for teachers. (We will
have 10 reformers , and everyone will work out)! - Constructing the exercises using various studio apparatus and pre-Pilates
Sunday January 28 th 8:30am – 5:30pm
- Joe’s standing exercises and calisthenics
- Baby arm chair including spotting and teaching techniques. (We will have
15 arm chairs, and everyone will work out)! - Construction of exercises on Reformer
- Conscious Stretching
